My Favourite Summer Nail Polishes

Hey guys!

Today’s post will be talking about some of my favourite nail polishes that I’ve been reaching for over the summer months! When it turns to summer, I love anything bright or pastel. I have one nude in my selection but I’ll explain why later!  So let’s take a look at my top five faves!

This is a polish for when you don’t want to wear polish! I love this little number from Trade Secrets. It’s a nail brightener so it has a slight hue of violet in this clear base coat. This cancels out any of the natural yellow tones that can creep onto your nails (or any other type of discolouring for that matter!) This polish is amazing and leaves your nail looking salon fresh!

This next shade is the first bright of the bunch! This is Huckleberry from Barry M and its this amazing, vibrant baby blue. In certain lights it definitely leans more towards a whitish blue but it is a definitely a true pastel baby blue. This is one of those nail polishes that looks really intimidating but once it’s on, it’s beautiful and very subtle unless you look closely!

Firstly, can we talk about how adorable this name is? ‘Mary Mary, Quite Contrary.’ It’s already got 10 points from me! This pastel lilac polish is quite sheer but very buildable which I like. It takes a couple of layers and it definitely leans more towards a pinkish tone than in the bottle.  This polish looks amazing on nails and toes and it was only £1 as well!!

Here we have the only nude colour of the lot. Barry M in Almond. The reason I like this nude shade for summer is due to the fact that makes you look SO tanned! I’ve had this polish on my toes for the majority of the summer and I don’t think it’s going to stop any time soon because it’s easily buildable and is very flattering if a few edges have chipped because it’s nude so you can’t really tell!

Finally in the bunch we’ve got the other Rimmel nail polish. This is a coral shade in the shade name ‘Instyle Coral.’ Whilst this is very much a coral shade, it does lean more towards the pink side when it’s out of the bottle. The colour coral screams summer to me which is why this has made it into my top 5 nail polishes! I’ve been wearing this shade on my nails to make a statement throughout the summer when I’ve been wearing simpler outfits.

And those are my top 5 nail polishes for the summer! I hope you enjoyed this – what are your top nail polishes for this summer? Let me know in the comments below  and I’ll see you next time!
