Benefit ‘Pucker Up & Party’ Giftset Review

Hey guys!

As some of you may have seen in my ‘What I Got For Christmas 2015’ video, I got this Benefit set and now that I’ve had a little while to play around with it, I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

As per usual, the packaging of this product is just to die for and I love the bubblegum colours and vintage feel that runs through the packaging and onto the products themselves. In the kit, you get all full sized versions of the original Bene balm, the Posie balm, the Bene tint and the Posie tint.

Firstly, onto the Bene balm. The formulas of the balms are sheer and moisturising so I wasn’t expecting the amount of colour that there was on this. It is definitely a strong red tint when applied to the lips and leaves a glossy finish which makes the lips look bitten and very luscious. The stick of product itself is very solid and is unlikely to snap and the casing is a hard metal which makes it very durable.

Onto the Posie tint and I am seriously dying over this packaging. Like a pink metallic casing with little flower decals? Adorable! The colour on this balm is a much more sheer baby pink with a slightly more shimmery effect rather than glossy. I would say it’s more of a moisturising finish than the Bene balm and not at all sticky which is definitely a plus in my eyes!

The tints in this set have a similar packaging to their corresponding balms except the Bene tint has a clear bottle so you can see the product inside. They both come with a stopper in the lids to prevent any accidental spillages if you knock it over and a brush tip applicator.

The Bene tint is on the right and as you can see creates a dusty red colour when fully blended in, however it did seem to bleed quite a bit into the wrinkles on my hands which was concerning. The overall finish of the product is nice and could be layered to make it more intense if it’s desired.
The Posie tint on the left is a much more high impact baby pink but I think is the more versatile colour out of the two of the tints. This could be layered to create a vibrant cheek or lightly dabbed to give a more natural flushed look. This tint didn’t bleed like the Bene tint but that may be due to the lighter colour just not being as noticeable.
Overall the formula of both products are a easily blendable liquid with good colour payoff.

I hope you enjoyed this review. If you have anything you would like me to review then please let me know and I will try and do that for you!

See you next time!
