So today’s style steal is inspired by the gorgeous Taylor Swift! Her classic pin-up style is timeless and her pairing with vintage tea dresses and cute heels are my idea of perfect!
After a bit of research I found the trend that Taylor seems to go with. Ditsy print fit and flare dresses with some low heels and a paired clutch. So this is my interpretation of Taylor Swift’s typical look!
The whole outfit is quite neutral, with deeper tones of purple and maroon running through it. This help to accentuate the bright red lip!
Taylor loves wearing cat eye shaped sunglasses because they compliment her face shape. I got mine from a little market stall in Spain as Rayban knockoffs!
My tea dress with capped sleeves comes from Primark. The waist is elasticated but I added a belt, also from Primark. I just love the repeat pattern on the irovy base as I think its very classic.
In keeping with the maroon neutral colours, these block heeled court shoes are from Dunnes. The heel matches the colour in the dress perfectly and the ankle strap makes them really comfortable and very 40’s. They are also quite low with a pointed toe which is the style Taylor opts for the most.
This messenger bag from Primark has the most gorgeous embossing on the front panels and I think that helps to match in the shoes and the bag together. As well as a messenger bag, this bag can be carried in a briefcase fashion as well.
As I said at the start, Taylor is known from her winged liner and pin-up red lip. This style paired with her short, curled locks are very reminiscent of the typical 50’s housewife.
I kept my base makeup very simple and mattified.
Taylor doesn’t very heavily fill in her eyebrows either so I just added a few hair like strokes towards the end to fill them in and shape them.
For the eyes I used a liquid liner to create a simple cat eye flick on the upper lid and added a few coats of mascara to define the lashes.
For my lips I used a cooled toned red lipstick (this cancels out yellow in the teeth) and went round with a lip brush first to get clean, sharp lines along the sides and cupid bow and that was the whole makeup look finished!
I hope you enjoyed this style steal! Tell me in the comments if this is the kind of outfit you would go for or if you would go for something else!
