Hey guys! I have been so excited to show you guys this makeup look that I got from Selena Gomez’s new music video. I love the song and I really liked her makeup in the video so tried to recreate it and I really liked how it turned out!
Start off with a clean, moisturised face and then apply foundation and concealer to perfect the skin. Set this with a light dusting powder if your foundation has a dewy finish.
Next, we’ll contour the cheeks. Admittedly I suck at this step but a little goes a long way with bronzer! Use a big fluffy brush and a small amount of the bronzer onto the brush and tap off the excess. Then suck in your cheeks to make a fishy face, this will show the hollows of your cheeks. Gently tap the bronzer along this dent and then with the excess product make little circle motions over the product to blend it out. Blend it up and towards the hairline. Use your fingers to blend the rest if you find this difficult.
Then to start the eye, sweep a nude colour all over the lid right up to the brow line and down underneath the lash line.
Then take a gold shadow and pack it really intensely on the lid and blend the edges out to make it nice and smokey.
Using the same brush, take a black eye shadow and then pack it on the out side of the eye in a diagonal line from the lash line to the end of the brow. Then take a clean brush and blend this edge out. Repeat this step a few times to get the black really intense.
To create Selene’s cat eye shape, take a dark black liquid line and line the whole upper lash line and create a massive wing on the outside. You can see this tutorial if you aren’t sure how to do that.
To balance the makeup take a small angled brush and some black eye shadow and apply it really closely to the lower lash line and smoke it out with your finger. Then line the top and bottom waterline to make it really intense.
After a light dusting of a white eye shadow under the brow line to highlight, apply several coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. That’s the eye completed.
Next onto lips! Line the lips with a red lip liner and blend out the harsh lines onto the lips. Then apply a matte red lipstick to your lips and a clear gloss into the centre portion on your lips.
That’s it! This inspired makeup is finished! As you can see this makeup is pretty full on and intense so definitely not an every day look but I love it anyway! I think this look would be so pretty with the eye and then a nude lip and I think it would look really good on every eye colour as gold and black are very complementary to every eye colour.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I had so much fun doing it so if you have any requests on any celebrities please let me know!
