So I was recently requested to do some more up do’s so this weeks tutorial is a fishtail side bun. As long as you can fishtail braid, this hairstyle is amazingly easy. If you can’t I will show you how to in this tutorial and also link a really helpful tutorial! Let’s get started.
I always find it easier to start this hairstyle with curls. It gives the hair a lot more texture and volume and allows the hair to keep its form better! Start with all your hair over to one side.
Divide the hair into two equal sections.
Take a small piece of hair from one of the sections and bring it across and under the other section. Then taking the section you have just added to, take a small piece of hair and move it across and under the first section. Keep repeating this step until you have reached the end of your hair. I found a really good tutorial on YouTube that you can find here.
Once you’ve completed the fishtail, pull lightly on it to loosen it and make it look thicker. You could leave the braid like this but where is the fun in that?!
Taking the braid, wrap it back and over to create a bun. You should be left with the ends flicking out but you can just tuck them in. Pin the bun to your head using bobby pins and make sure it is secure and then slightly tug to make it looser and more messy.
To finish, pull out a few strands of hair or your fringe to frame your face. Then you’re done! This look is so effortless but also looks really polished and pretty.
I hope you guys have enjoyed this tutorial and if you would like to see more hair style click here.
You might have noticed that the quality of my photos has improved! I got a brand new Canon 600D for my birthday last week and I love it so I hope you guys like the better quality!
