Its been a long time since I’ve done a nail art so today I thought I would wear some cute cassettes on my nails. What I love about this design is that it is so vintage but it can also be adapted to any outfit because you can change the background colour. As always, this nail art is so simple to achieve with only four steps!
Then, apply whatever colour as a base colour onto your nails. This will be the colour of the cassette. You could keep them all one colour or you could mix it up like I have.
To create the actual cassette, start with one stripe down one side of the nail and then on the other side, also create a line. The second line must be thicker than the first. Then connect these two lines at the top and bottom of the nail.
Using a toothpick or dotting tool, create a elongated oval in the centre of the nail. Allow this to dry completely and then add two small white dots at either end.
If you are happy with the design there, then you can stop. To make it look more realistic, you can add a grey trapezium at the bottom of the nail and place a white dot in each corner of the nail.
Wait for the polish to dry and add a top coat. That’s it.
I love using pastel colours for the cassettes as it makes it feel very spring-time. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
