Valentine’s Day is fast approaching so it’s time to go out and get something to show that someone special how much you really love them! Or you could make them something! Often heartfelt things are more special and memorable than gifts, although you can’t go wrong with that either! This little table setting/card/reminder is the perfect way to express your feelings!
For this tutorial you will need some coloured card (two different colours that are quite contrasting), a pencil, a rubber, a ruler, glue and some scissors (I ended up using nail scissors to cut along the lines more accurately!)
Start with the coloured card that you want to have on the front of your card, for me this is the red one. Then either draw or print off and copy the pattern that is below. This will give you your card template. (I skipped the little heart above the ‘I’)
Then take your background colour (this is white for me) and fold it in half. Then glue around all of the edges of the back of your front piece (don’t forget the flap in the ‘U’!) and then line up the two centre folds of each piece of card and stick it down.
I trimmed off the excess card to make it into a little table setting.
I love this idea of the 3D card for Valentine’s as often the shop cards are pretty soppy!
If you try this, please let me know and I hope you have a great Valentine’s Day! ♥
P.S If you don’t have a Valentine then make this card for yourself, after all there is nobody better than you!
