12 Days of Christmas – Day 10 – Christmas Make Up

I’ve been requested to do a more wearable make up look for Christmas so here it is! This brown toned eye look can be worn with most colour choices and will look good with every eye colour!

Start this look with a clean, make-free eye.

Taking the base shade which for my case is a reddish-brown, apply is all over a lid right up to the crease.

By mixing the lid colour and a darker colour and apply it to the crease and the outer ‘V’ this will darken the eyes and give a more 3-dimensional look. The outer ‘V’ is the outer part of the lid that goes in a horizontal ‘V’ between the upper lash line and the crease.

Add a highlight in the inner corner to open and brighten the eye. To keep with the warm tones I used a gold, shimmery shadow. Blend it from the inner corner into the middle of the lid.

Using a bigger, fluffy brush highlight the brow bone with a pure white colour and make sure to blend it into the crease colour too!

Instead of using a black eyeliner I used a brown pencil eyeliner as it is less harsh and can be smudged easier. Run this colour right along the upper lash line and tight line. Then half way across the water line. You can also put it on the lower lash line and smoke it out using a little brush.

One wearable makeup look! If you wear this look please let me know and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Match it with a light pink or nude lip as it is quite bold.
