12 Days of Christmas – Day 6 – Christmas Nails

Accent nails are perfect for the holiday season and I think that if you can wear it with a normal french tip and the accent nails it can add a bit of fun to your Christmas time manicure. This tutorial will show you 3 different nail designs that you can do for the holidays.

Start off with polish free nails and apply a base coat and let it fully dry.

For the first design, paint all the nails red apart from the accent nail. For the second, paint all the nails black and then for the final design paint all the nails green.

For the first design of a Santa hat, make a red triangle and then add a white dot at the tip and white dots along the base. For Christmas lights, make a silver wiggly line across the nail and then add some multi-coloured dots along it to represent the fairy lights on the wire. The final design is the easiest as it is a present, create a large cross right across the whole nail to look like ribbon.

For the rest of the nails I just made a french tip for each of them. For the first one, a classic white. The second one I started with a white base, you can leave it like this is you want or you could make each nail the colours of the lights on the accent nail. For the final design you could have a simple pink tip or make a little bow just like mine.

These are my final designs, I think that they are just adorable. The Santa Claus nail design is my favourite but you can adapt this method to any Christmas related thing that you wish. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if you use one of these designs please let me know!
