DIY Mickey Mouse Costume

So there are 19 days until Halloween and if you haven’t picked your costume but need one, now is the time to buy one.
This tutorial, however will show you that you don’t need to go a spend a lot of money on a costume that you might wear once or twice but could actually make a costume from things found in your home.

For this costume you will need:
A Black T-shirt
Red Shorts
Yellow Socks
Flat Slip On Pumps
White Gloves
Black and White Card
Some Circular Objects
Permanent Marker and

Start by tracing two circles onto the white card and cut them out.

Tape a bobby pin onto each circle at the top. Tape them so that they will open. Then secure them onto the belt loop of the shorts.

Next, taking the white gloves draw three lines using the permanent marker on the back on the hands.

ย Then taking some plain pumps put some yellow socks over the top to represent Mickey’s shoes.

Then cut out two circles of the black card. I didn’t have black card, only black paper so I used the white card to re-enforce it.

Cut out two rectangles and stick one to the bottom of each circle. Then secure the head band by placing it onto the rectangle and folding it over tightly. This will attach the ‘ears’ to the headband.

And that’s all there is to it!

Pair your outfit with some black tights and you have completed the perfect Mickey Mouse Halloween outfit!

  1. Not many blogs that offer such consistently readable and informative content as is on offer here, you have earned
the miniscule amount of time it takes to write my appreciation of your
    endeavours. Thank you.

  2. Thanks for this tutorial! I was trying to find a costume that wouldn’t be too showy and “adult”. Btw you are super pretty ๐Ÿ™‚
