DIY : Dip Dye Jeans

I saw these jeans online and thought that they were adorable however they were super expensive! So I made my own using an old pair of jeans, super cheap bleach and then a couple of hours!

These are my interpretation of the jeans and I think they are pretty close and they are so simple to do!

First of all, before touching anything you want to put on gloves and wear some old clothes because bleach ruins everything! Then, take your bleach and pour about a litre of it into a basin.

Next, position your jeans on a clothes horse or something that the jeans can balance on and make sure your desired amount of leg touches the floor. Don’t forget that the bleach will rise up the fabric as it soaks in so be sure to leave about a 3cm distance to allow the bleach to blend up. Then, holding the jeans out of the way, place the basin of bleach under the jeans and slowly drop the jeans into the basin.

Leave them like that for a few hours and then rinse off the excess bleach back into the bucket. Set the jeans outside to dry and let them air dry completely.

Once they are completely dry, put them in the washing machine, on their own to extract any of the remaining bleach.

Let them air dry again.

Once they are fully dry, you’re done! These jeans were so simple to make and have such an amazing outcome.
