So it’s the Jubilee Weekend and I thought, ‘What better way to show my patriotism than through my nails!’ My nails have certainly been a conversation starter this weekend and I’ve even had to do my friends for a street party. Keep reading to learn how to do nails even her Highness would be proud of!
What you’ll need for this tutorial is
-White and blue polish
-Black and red polish (preferably stripers or nail pens)
-Nail art brushes or a toothpick and cotton bud.
Apply a base coat to protect and strengthen your natural nails.
Once the base coat has dried, apply 2 coats of white polish.
When the white polish has fully dried, use a red polish to create a red cross on the nail. Then make 4 small lines from the corners into the middle, but do not join them! Taking a blue polish and a toothpick/brush, make small triangles in between the red lines, leaving a white gap between everything.
Depending on the thickness of the nail polish repeat the whole process to make the colours really bold!
And that’s it! You’re done!
As you can see from the start picture, using my nail pen I created a black rim around all my nails to make them stand out. Note: This is very messy and you will need to clean up around your nails after with a brush or a cotton bud!
Have a great Jubilee weekend! Go Queenie!
