Peacock Eyes

Peacocks are such strange but beautiful and fascinating bird and they are the inspiration for this eye makeup tutorial. Although I am fully aware this is not an everyday look I think it’s really fun and quirky!

You’ll need
-black eyeliner
-dark blue, light blue, green and brown/red eye shadow
-mascara
optional
-blue rhinestones

Start off with a clean, makeup-less eye.

Next, apply an even coat of a dark blue polish on the lid only. Don’t make the eye shadow overpowering as this is not the main aspect of the look, but simply harmonises with the feathers.

Then make a thin line of black liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line.

Once this is done, add a light blue, shimmery eye shadow into the inner corner of the eye and blend out into the centre of the lid. This will make the eyes brighter and make them pop!

Make 3, thin stripes flicking out from the outer corner of the eye using the liquid liner. Then line the waterline.

Create 3 teardrop shapes on the end of each flick and draw a small circle in the centre of each other. (This does not have to be very neat as it is just a guideline for the eye shadow. Taking a very small brush, colour in the section between the teardrop and the circle with a dark green.

Repeat this step with another circle inside the first one and colour it in with a red/brown eye shadow.

This step is optional but to add some definition apply small blue teardrop rhinestones into the middle of the feathers.

Then outline and thicken the lines to create a dramatic look.

Once you have completed the look, curl your lashes and add some mascara to represent the small feathers on the peacock. If you want to be wild try experimenting with blue mascara!

And that’s it! You’re done! This is look is so sweet and simple! It will definitely make you stand out from the crowd!
